When you think about making an award, to give out to people which shows your appreciation, think about using crystal. The price of crystal is cheaper, when you compare it to other metals like gold or silver. This doesn’t mean that it is any less valuable in the eyes of the person receiving it. In fact, there are some people that consider crystal to be of equal value to these precious metals.

If you design and make a custom crystal award, it shows the person how much you value them. A custom crystal award can even be engraved with the name of the person. When the person who receives the award sees that special touch, the award will have an even greater meaning to them. The look and feel of the award seems expensive and the person will feel the same way.

Don’t be worried about the price because although it looks and feels expensive, it really isn’t. I don’t mean to say it doesn’t have value. However, when you compare them to something like gold making the award is a fraction of the price. For the price of one gold award, you could have three crystal awards that are engraved and look beautiful. That reason alone is enough to make crystal the choice of material for me.

There are a number of reasons one can receive a trophy. From being the best to just a simple show of appreciation, the reasons for receiving a trophy are too many to list. One thing that has caught my attention over the years, is the care I give for different trophies. I have a wide collection of trophies that are made from different materials. Metals, plastic, glass and crystals seem to be what everyone chooses to make these trophies from.

Metals trophies have a nice weight to them, but after a few months they start to rust. I must admit that once that happens they are often forgotten. Plastic trophies are cheap and have no real meaning to me. When I receive a trophy made from plastic, I won’t think twice about leaving them in the attic. Trophies made of glass fare better in my view. I tend to place them in places, where my guest can see them when they enter my house.

Among all of them crystal is the one that I really like the best. They look and feel very expensive. This gives me the feeling that the person sending it appreciates me. When I use a spotlight to shine on them, the reflections make all of them look like ice sculptures that I enjoy looking at.

Trophies are made from a wide selection of materials these days. From metals to plastic, there is nothing that an award cannot be made from. When you are going to make trophies to give at your company, think about what material you will want to use. Plastic trophies look and feel cheap. They are forgotten most of the time and are not considered valuable. Trophies that are made from metal feel more expensive, but they are prone to rust.

Unless you plan to be using gold the trophy will start to change color in a few months. The cost of making the trophy is not something that is cheap as well. Glass is a good material to use since it will not change color. They are a little weak and will chip or break if proper care is not taken. Crystal is something that has the properties of glass and metal which I like. Crystal looks and feels like glass, it has a nice expensive look and in the right lighting it looks like an ice sculpture.

Crystal is also stronger then glass, it is not prone to chip and unless they are dropped from a very high place, they will not break. In the event it does break, it shatters and leaves pieces that are not as sharp or dangerous as glass.

Comparing the difference in the materials that trophies are made from, you can tell the difference in meanings. The reason I am saying this is because we hold different materials to different values. If a trophy is made from plastic no matter how hard it is to achieve, the trophy is often forgotten and left in a place that is not seen. We view them as cheap things and they are not something to be proud of, regardless of the effort that was spent getting it.

Trophies that are made from metals also hold different meanings. That is one of the main reasons why gold, silver and bronze hold different places in our minds. It doesn’t matter if they are the same design. The difference in what metal was used will give a different sense of pride. If you want to give out trophies, think about using crystal as a material. They look and feel very expensive.

When you engrave the name of the person receiving the trophy, it will become a center piece in their homes as well. In the sad event that it falls and shatters crystal pieces are not as sharp as glass. This makes them a little safer in case you have children running around in the house.
